Parking Rules and Regulations

At Roger Williams University, our parking rules and regulations are in place to ensure safe and efficient parking on campus. By parking here, you agree to follow these guidelines. Parking areas are assigned to prioritize safety, convenience, and to protect university property. Please be aware that parking on campus is at your own risk. It's important for students and employees to understand and follow these rules. Not knowing them isn't an excuse for non-compliance.

  • Campus Definition: When we mention "Campus" in these rules, we mean all areas of Roger Williams University, including the Almeida Complex and parking lots.
  • Parking Permits: The Department of Public Safety Traffic Control Office sells parking permits for $150.00 each to authorized individuals. Undergraduates can have one active permit each academic year. You need a new permit every year. Apply for a permit online. Graduate & Law students have permits sent to their address. Half-year permits are available for study abroad or December graduates. Refunds are given at the end of the first semester.
  • Non-Transferable Permits: Permits are only for the vehicle they're issued to and cannot be transferred.
  • Parking at Your Own Risk: When you park at Roger Williams University, you accept any risk involved. The university isn't responsible for theft, damage, or loss of vehicles or belongings left inside. We only give permission to park; we don't take responsibility for your vehicle's safety.
