Social Media & Publications Specialist

Job Description

The role of the Visual Arts Department FIT Internship in Social Media & Publications will prepare students to take leadership roles in developing and marketing creative organizations. This position offers tremendous experience to students interested in building our creative community.

Year 1
Responsibility/Function

1. Learn how to manage department Social Media presence on Instagram.
2. Learn how to design the Department Newsletter every semester:
3. Learn how to design the Department Student Catalog featuring student artwork every semester.
4. Learn how to design marketing advertisements for guest speakers, exhibitions, studio artists and other social professional activities that cultivate our creative community.

In all these capacities, the employee will work closely with Senior FIT Interns and Department Chair through weekly meetings.

Year 2

In all these capacities, the employee will work closely with Department Chair and new FIT Interns through weekly meetings.

*Students are prohibited from driving during work-study employment with the limited exception of authorized work-study driver positions.
