If you could give one piece of advice to a first year student, what would it be? You don’t have to know exactly what career path you want to go down right away. College is a time to explore and we have so many resources on campus to help you succeed in a career path that you feel is right.
Favorite music artist and TV show? I like all different genres of music, but my favorite artist is Fleet Foxes. I would have to say my favorite TV show is Breaking Bad.

What’s your favorite event or RWU tradition? This has to be a three way tie between the Poetry Slam, the open mic nights hosted by WQRI, and the RWU Dance Club showcases. These events help highlight some of the amazing talent that we have on our campus and it's amazing to see amount of students who turn out to show their live and support for their peers during these events.
What’s one restaurant you would recommend in Rhode Island? A restaurant I'd absolutely check out is Siena in either East Greenwich or Smithfield for some fine dining. For a more local, casual spot check out Brick Pizza Co. My buddy and fellow RWU alumnus Chris helped build and design the place and it's a great example of how our students can make a difference in the local community!
Favorite music artist and TV show? Macklemore because his music is goofy like me but he also has some very deep messages hidden in his works. Television wise I love Haunting of Hill House and any of the Avatar series The Last Airbender or The Legend of Korra.

If you could give one piece of advice to a first year student, what would it be? What’s your favorite event or RWU tradition? My favorite RWU tradition is the Annual Theme. It’s really interesting for the enrolling class and the RWU community to read the same book, and then attend programs and lectures throughout the year that build on the theme and allow us to look at it through different lenses. It’s a great prompt for conversations and discussions across campus.

If you could give one piece of advice to a first year student, what would it be? “College is like a buffet. You can eat the same three basic foods that you know that you like, or you can try different things and have the potential of discovering a new food that you never knew that you would love. Either way, the price is the same.” This applies to trying food at the dining hall, taking new classes, trying extracurriculars, or anything else – be willing to go into your challenge zone! (This is the same advice my mom gave me when she dropped me off at Roger in 2014 for my freshman year!)
Favorite music artist and TV show? I listen to almost any genre, but I do certainly love a good 2000s – 2010s throwback playlist. If I was choosing more current, it would be either JP Saxe or Kehlani. For favorite TV show, I’d say any crime shows or Netflix’s All-American.
