North Campus Residence Hall
This 120,000 square-foot, LEED certified facility is our newest residence hall, which opened in the fall of 2009 on the north end of campus. This 350-bed residence hall offers on-campus apartment and suite style living to our upperclassmen. Boasting a chic and trendy look and beautiful views of the Mt. Hope Bay, the North Campus Residence Hall also offers students several study areas, a retail/cafe and plenty of lounge space. With an open common room on the first floor (complete with billiards and ping-pong tables, as well as plenty of couches, tables, and large-screen TV), this building is ready to make you feel comfortable living on campus as an upperclassman. The Great Room, located on the second floor, and all of the corridor spaces, offer several areas where you can comfortably relax, study, or just hang out with your friends. North Campus is also our only residence hall built with a classroom and a jam room; so if you want to study, have band practice, or just sit around talking – this is the residence hall for you!
We offer several different housing options, from 1 person efficiency apartments to 10 person suites.
The staff of North Campus Residence Hall is comprised of one Community Director, one Head Resident Assistant (HRA), and 9 Resident Assistants (RA). The Community Director serves to oversee the day-to-day operation of the complex, including supervision of the residence hall staff. There are either 1 or 2 RA’s per wing depending on the number of residents in that wing.
