RWU’s location in Rhode Island puts us in the heart of New England, a historic area of the country that also includes Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

Comprehensive University
RWU has around 7,000 total students, approximately 3,820 of whom are full-time undergraduates on our primarily residential, suburban campus in Bristol. Our education is centered around hands-on learning in which students engage in experiential, real-world projects done in conjunction with community partners. With 50 majors and more than 70 minors, we have the right program to fit your passion and prepare you for success!
Scholarships Available
98% of students receive scholarships and/or need-based financial aid. All students are considered for up to $21,000 in annual merit-based aid. Other scholarships and awards are available.
Easy Travel to Campus
Many direct and connecting flights are available to and from Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport and Logan International Airport in Boston, MA. Plus, we offer a $1,500 Travel Grant for students outside of the U.S. Northeast to assist with costs associated with traveling!
