Housing Curriculum Assessment Internship
Job Description
For students who have an interest or tied academically to education and/or marketing, this role will be able to allow students to:
- Get hands-on practice assessing and contributing to an existing curriculum to benefit their own education, as well as advance their real-life application of the subject
- Gain experience in collecting, assessing and reporting data, as well as provide valuable insight to promote changes in the department and its practices
Year 1
Responsibility/Function
- Synthesizing assessment data of curriculum initiatives for all 8 residence halls
- Floor Meetings (August, November, January & April)
- Educational Initiatives (September, October, November, February, March & April)
- Intentional Conversations (September, November, March & May)
- Reporting data for the department and making visual charts denoting trends and important information
- Managing the Residence Life & Housing alumni program
- Communicating with alumni to gather information and make connections
- Pairing current RAs with alumni mentors
- Assessing benefits and potential areas of growth within the program
Year 2
Responsibility/Function

- Managing the Residence Life & Housing Alumni Program
- Communicating with alumni to gather information and make connections
- Pairing current RAs with alumni mentors
- Assessing benefits and potential areas of growth within the program
Year 3
Responsibility/Function
- Synthesizing assessment data of curriculum initiatives for all 8 residence halls

- Reporting data for the department and making visual charts denoting trends and important information

- Facilitate focus groups of residential students to assess curriculum improvements
- Use Qualtrics to create surveys for student staff and assess data
- Assess data from RA training initiatives
- Managing the Residence Life & Housing alumni program
- Communicating with alumni to gather information and make connections
- Pairing current RAs with alumni mentors
- Assessing benefits and potential areas of growth within the program
*Students are prohibited from driving during work-study employment with the limited exception of authorized work-study driver positions.
