Job Description
Organization: Blithewold Mansion, Garden and Arboretum
Positions Available: 1-2 students
Schedule: April to mid-October: Shifts: 10:45 – 1:15 & 1:00 – 3:15
Late November through January 1: Shifts: TBD
Responsibilities:
- Welcome visitors to the Mansion; at front door and at top of stairs
- Encourage exploration of current exhibits and direct movement as needed
- Provide accurate and friendly answers to inquiries
- Tour App assistance; downloading, finding tour, etc.
- Assist in ensuring the security of the Mansion, Collection, and exhibits
- Promote upcoming social events, educational opportunities, and membership
- Keep up-to-date/current with Blithewold news and programming
Qualifications:
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Reliability, punctuality and honesty
- Ability to assume responsibility and interact effectively with visitors and staff
- Capability to learn all aspects of position
Training:
- Provided materials along with onsite training
- Guided Tours of Mansion, Gardens & Archives
- Periodic workshops and training events

Transportation: Blithewold is located within walking distance (.5 miles from campus on Rt. 114/101 Ferry Road).
