Dr. Shay Kurzinski is passionate about sustainable construction materials. She has studied Bachelor of Architectural Engineering, Master of Landscape Architecture, and Ph.D. of Sustainable Construction Management. Her education has introduced her to green building design and engineering. Her Doctorate research has been on Mass Timber products, specifically on Cross-laminated Timber (CLT) and the research-invented product: Diagonal-Cross-laminated Timber (DCLT) to search the methods of improving and predicting CLT mechanical properties.

She has worked as a Project Engineer, Estimator, and Architectural Designer in the industry while being experienced in teaching and researching in AEC fields.
