Group Visit Assistant
Job Description
We welcome school groups and community-based organizations to campus. We do our best to accommodate requests, pending available dates and staff.
For groups of 10, the Group Visit Registration Form is filled out by the group leader. The student will assist the group with their plans to visit campus with communication, planning and outreach.
This role holds a tremendous amount of responsibility. The student is essentially scheduling a small event. The student would be using an array of interpersonal, academic and technology skills. The student will be working closely with the entire admissions team as well as professors.
Year 1
Responsibility/Function
Year one you will work with the Assistant Director to learn the procedures involved with setting up and scheduling group visits. The procedures for setting up a scheduled group visits will be explained and how to enter them into our system will be as well. You will eventually be setting them up on your own, communicating with group leaders, territory managers and professors.
Year 2
Responsibility/Function
Year two you will work more independently having the knowledge from the previous year. You will continue to set up group visits for prospective students. You will be familiar with the scheduling procedures with the professors and campus organizations.
Year 3
Responsibility/Function
Year three you will continue to work independently scheduling group tours. We will work collaboratively to focus on areas of improvement to streamline the program. You will also work with us to find and help train your predecessor.
