“We have grown and learned how to communicate and band together as a community. I wanted to really celebrate what we’ve gone through, and motivate us to face what is coming next,” says Shannon DeFranza '21, human rights advocate and National Vice President Elect of the American Institute of Architecture Students.
Students, Faculty, and Staff gathered in-person to celebrate outstanding student contributions and leadership on May 2, with families and friends attending virtually.
"One of the most exciting things to happen at a university is the creation of new knowledge," said RWU President Ioannis Miaoulis. "SASH is a day celebrating scholarship for the University. It gives an opportunity for students and faculty to go around and see all the creative work from this year."
Commencement celebrations for RWU and RWU Law Class to feature in-person Grad Walks, graduates will be allowed to bring two guests to watch their processional and then depart campus.
Akunvabey will provide strategic leadership and champion programs, policies and practices that support an anti-racist, diverse and equitable community across the university.
