Mark Wu is an Associate Professor of Finance and the Director of the MBA Program at the Mario J. Gabelli School of Business. Dr. Wu's research interests include sovereign debt issuance, primary dealer behavior, investor sentiment’s impact on the stock market, and sustainability in emerging markets. He has collaborated with prestigious institutions such as the Bank of Canada, the Swedish National Debt Office, the Portuguese Treasury and Debt Management Agency, and the Central Bank of Iceland. His work has been published in leading journals such as the Journal of Financial Markets, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Financial Research, Review of Financial Economics, Sustainability, and Accounting Education. His research is regularly presented at international conferences and university seminars worldwide.
Professor Wu’s teaching has been highly rated by students, with notable courses including Fixed-Income Securities, Advanced Financial Management, Investments, Financial Markets & Institutions, and Corporate Finance at the graduate level. In addition to leading the MBA program and collaborating with the university community, Dr. Wu is also dedicated to student advising and research mentoring. His work has been recognized with several research grants and teaching awards.
Dr. Wu holds a B.S. in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in Finance from the State University of New York at Binghamton. With industry experience in investment banking, he is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.
