National Biological Honor Society (Beta Beta Beta)
Theta Gamma Chapter
Beta Beta Beta (TriBeta) is an honor and professional society for students of the biological sciences and those interested in the biological sciences. Founded in 1922 at Oklahoma City University by Frank G. Brooks, TriBeta now has over 370 chapters in colleges and universities across the United States.
The Theta Gamma chapter of TriBeta was established at Roger Williams University in 2003. Full membership is by invitation to those students that:
- are biology or marine biology majors
- have taken at least three biology courses, at least one of which is an upper level course
- have maintained at last a 3.3 GPA in those biology courses and are in good academic standing
