Located in the beautiful seaside community of Bristol, R.I., Roger Williams University (RWU) is one of the premier event venues on Rhode Island’s East Bay.
Established in 1956, this quintessentially New England college campus boasts sprawling green lawns which sweep down to the sandy shores of Mt. Hope Bay. Our brick-and-mortar facilities can accommodate groups ranging from 10 participants to 200. We also offer several “green spaces” on campus suitable for large-capacity tents. Our staff will be happy to work with our trusted suppliers to ensure that such temporary structures include the amenities that will make your event a success.
While we accept a limited number of event requests on campus during the school year, summers at RWU offer over 250 bookable spaces. These include:

Finding appropriate housing for your event attendees during the summer can be a daunting experience—not to mention expensive! If you are looking for a truly coastal conference/summer program experience, look no further. Positioned strategically on the shores of Mt. Hope Bay, 42% of our student residences have an ocean view. Our clients can choose from a variety of housing styles to suit any budget.

The Roger Williams housing staff strive to ensure that the residential experience on campus is memorable for every client. Full linen packages and change services are available upon request.
On campus housing is available from late May through August. If accommodations are needed during the school year, our trained staff can recommend appropriate off-site lodging to meet your needs

Visitors from out-of-state can travel to Roger Williams University from Rhode Island TF Green International Airport or Boston Logan International Airport. The Rhode Island Public Transport Authority (RIPTA) shuttles run regularly from Providence to Bristol and other popular localities.
