We want to make sure visitors are aware of any roadwork that may impact arrival/travel time. We encourage visitors to check the Rhode Island Department of Transportation site often for more information, and traffic cams. 

I-195/Washington Bridge Closure
If traveling to/from RWU via Washington Bridge/I-195, please plan for additional travel time or an alternative route.  

RIDOT has closed the westbound side of the Washington Bridge/I-195 West due to the discovery of the critical failure of some bridge components. Bypass lanes for I-195 West traffic from East Providence to Providence are open - three lanes of travel on both westbound and eastbound – all operating on the eastbound Washington Bridge.
