Second Campus Poetry Walk
The University Library and the Writing Center are hosting an outdoor Poetry Walk to celebrate National Poetry Month in April 2024.
Opening the second week in April, the walk showcases 16 original poems written by students and other members of the campus community on the theme “Seeking Kindness in Ourselves and Others.”
The poems will be posted on signs along a designated campus walking path.
In conjunction with the walk, a community event and reception, featuring a public talk by poet Rosanna Warren will be held on April 16th at 5:00 PM in the University Library’s Mary Tefft White Cultural Center.
A virtual exhibition has also been created to preserve and highlight the Poetry Walk.
The Poetry Walk is sponsored by the Writing Center, the Center for Student Academic Success, the Provost’s Office, and the University Library. The Keynote Address is sponsored by the Mary Tefft White Endowment Fund.
