Marcavitch teaches PRES 532L Building Materials Technology Workshop with multiple collaborators
Aaron Marcavitch ’99, Executive Director of the Connecticut Landmarks Foundation, is teaching PRES 532L Building Materials and Technology Workshop in Spring 2024. The graduate course features extensive field experience at numerous significant historic buildings, including consultations with practitioners with expertise with historic materials and construction processes. Pres 532L is required for MS in Preservation Practices students, elective for Master of Architecture and Graduate Certificate in Preservation Practices students.
Prior to coming to CT Landmarks, Marcavitch served as Executive Director of Anacostia Trails Heritage Area in Maryland, and Historic Nantucket, and also as Assistant Administrator of the Nantucket Historic District Commission. He has extensive service experience including as Treasurer, Preservation Action, with Greenbelt Homes in Maryland, Prince George’s County MD Historic Preservation Commission, Maryland Association of Historic Distict Commission, Capital Trails Coalition, and President of the Recent Past Preservation Network.
