Gloria M. Arcia Appointed as Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer
A seasoned financial executive with a wealth of experience in higher education management, Arcia will begin her new role in July.
BRISTOL, R.I. – After an extensive nationwide search, Roger Williams University has appointed Gloria M. Arcia, a seasoned financial executive with a wealth of experience in higher education management, as the next Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer.
Arcia’s exemplary leadership and proven track record of success underscores RWU’s commitment to excellence as the community embarks on an ambitious campaign and new strategic plan to elevate the institution to dive deeper and soar higher.

Arcia was selected following a nationwide search and interview process that included various campus forums. The university search committee comprised administrators, faculty, and staff across the Bristol and Providence, R.I., campuses.

With a distinguished career spanning over 23 years, Arcia most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the University of the Ozarks, where she demonstrated exceptional proficiency in financial planning, business operations, and risk management. During her tenure, Arcia spearheaded numerous initiatives to streamline financial processes, enhance transparency, and optimize resource allocation, contributing significantly to the university's growth and development.
Arcia has an Ed.D. in organizational learning and leadership with a specialization in human resource development, a Master's in Business Administration from Barry University, and a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice Administration from Florida International University. Arcia will join RWU as EVPFA-CFO in July.
