A forward-thinking private university, Roger Williams University offers 50 academic programs that span the arts and sciences as well as six professional schools. At RWU, small classes, direct access to faculty and a wide range of community-engaged work and experiential learning opportunities provide students with a transformative education that goes beyond the classroom and out into the real world.
Who we are
RWU is located in Bristol, Rhode Island (United States), just 25 minutes from the capital of our state, Providence, Rhode Island. Our campus is one hour south of Boston, Massachusetts and 3.5 hours northeast of New York City. Our location provides our student with a safe, quiet location ideal for study with access to the ocean, beautiful parks, and local shopping just 2 km away in downtown Bristol. Our students have the best of both worlds with access to world-class cities, great beaches and outdoor life in both summer and winter!

Our International population is supported throughout their whole RWU experience. The Office of International Student & Scholar Services is available to assist you during your time here at RWU.

Academic Programs
With 50 majors, 70 minors, a 14:1 student to faculty ratio and an average class size of just 19 students, our academic programs are at the heart of the Roger Williams University experience. Our courses in both the liberal arts and professional fields of study will prepare you in the classroom for your career aspirations after graduation. Over 80% of students graduate with more than just a single major.

Scholarships
Roger Williams offers scholarship to qualified international applicants with a guaranteed amount of $20,000 up to $28,500.* The specific scholarship amount is determined by a holistic review of the applicant.
*Government sponsorship may reduce the amount of scholarship.
