RWU Graduate Christina Jane Robson '09 in Residence This Week
Christina Jane Robson is scheduled to teach technique, lecture and choreograph a new work with RWU dance majors from October 15-20.
Christina Robson '09, a Brooklyn based performer, educator and maker, will lecture, teach technique and choreograph a new work this week here on RWU's Bristol Campus, where she will be in residence through Sunday.
Christina had been performing with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company since 2015 and teaching on faculty at Gibney Dance center. Christina has collaborated and performed internationally with David Dorfman Dance, The Sean Curran Company, Monica Bill Barnes & Company, Alexandra Beller/Dances, Third Rail Projects, Heidi Henderson, JinJu Song Begin, Kendra Portier, Raja Feather Kelly and many others.
She has presented her own solo work in New York City and has made original works for NYU/Tisch Dance, SUNY Purchase, Roger Williams University, Barnard, Hartt School, and Lindenwood University. She teaches all over the New York area including Joffrey School, Peridance, Steps on Broadway, NYU, Dancewave Brooklyn, and 92 Y.
Christina thrives on bringing people together through movement and exploring how our shared physical practices deepen our sense of community. She believes in the undeniable magic that is palpable when people move their bodies toward a shared goal.
