This form is intended for applicants who have submitted an official application for admission to a graduate program at Roger Williams University and are not currently registered in any graduate courses, but who would like to formally withdraw their application from consideration, and/or do not plan to pursue a graduate degree at RWU. Applicants who have not received a decision on their application, as well as those who have been officially accepted to a program, may use this form. Please be reminded that this form is not intended for students who have already begun a graduate program at RWU, but rather for applicants who no longer intend to pursue a graduate program at RWU and are not registered in any graduate courses. Once this form has been submitted, any applicant who wishes to begin a graduate program at RWU in the future must fully re-apply to the program and have all required documentation re-sent in order to be re-considered for admission. The Office of Graduate Admission will not be able to use any materials submitted for a previous application toward a future re-application for admission. If you would prefer to defer your admission to a future semester for up to one year instead of officially withdrawing your application, please complete the Graduate Admission Deferral Request Form.
Please note: This form DOES NOT constitute withdrawal from a graduate program or graduate classes that you may already be registered for – it only notifies the Office of Graduate Admission that you no longer wish to begin a graduate program at RWU. If you have already been accepted and have begun a graduate program, and/or are registered for any graduate courses, you are required to officially withdraw from those courses so as not to be billed for them through the Office of the Registrar. However, formal tuition refund policies existing through the Office of the Bursar will be still be in place. To formally withdraw from a graduate program, and/or any graduate courses you are currently registered for, please contact the Office of the Registrar at email@example.com or 401-254-3510.
