The Raj Saksena Memorial Scholarship was established in 2011, in memory of Raj Saksena, FAIA, founding Director of the Architecture Program and Dean of the School of Architecture. Raj was always interested in architecture for everyone. Beauty and function were both important. Most significantly, Raj was interested in the ability of spaces to lift the human spirit. The Scholarship is awarded to a top Architecture student in their final year of study toward the Master of Architecture degree, who has demonstrated interest in sustainable architecture or affordable housing, a high degree of leadership, and financial need.
