Video Production & Editor – Community Partnerships Center

Job Description: 

Student would be responsible for collecting and editing short videos for internal and external CPC purposes. The CPC is looking for someone who is creative, energetic, passionate about community engagement and learning, and someone who has strong social media skills. Student would be responsible for starting a CPC YouTube page and managing videos on the account. Student will need to write scripts and interview questions, schedule appointments with faculty, staff, students and community partners for interviews or video production, and be able to discuss the promotional uses for the videos with all parties.  Flexible work schedule and open to student creativity. Student should be entering their junior or senior years and be familiar with the work of the CPC. Students should have a positive attitude and be comfortable working in both independent and team settings.  Students should be able to adhere to guidelines and schedules.  Students should have strong written and oral communication skills, be well organized, and work well in a high-energy, fast paced environment. Student will be asked to attend monthly staff meetings with other student staff.

Special Skills: 
Experience in video production/editing, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to write short and cohesive scripts if necessary, marketing and social media skills. Student should have their own transportation. Certified RWU Driver for 12 passenger or mini-vans a plus – but CPC staff can assist you with obtaining this. Student should have their own camera and production gear.
Academic Major Preferred: 
Junior or Senior in media communication, graphic design, film studies, marketing, web development or other major but with the applicable skills.
