Year 1 Responsibility/Function

  1. Lab Setups of Virtual Machines
  2. Equipment maintenance and support
  3. Adjunct support of machines and lab

Year 2 Responsibility/Function

  1. Basic support of Firewall on Faculty Research Network
  2. Continued Lab Support of Virtual Machines
  3. Support Development of Servers for VmWare
  4. Training in FLAM/R, Cyber Range

Year 3 Responsibility/Function

  1. Operations of Flam/R Cyber Range
  2. Support of Vm Ware Servers
  3. Support of Faculty Research Network Firewall and updates
  4. Research Functions

Please describe how this role will support the student’s academic progress/experience:

All of these roles directly relate to potential employment as well as coursework in the NETSEC program at RWU. The idea is to develop the student’s skill sets beyond the classroom knowledge by directly applying those skills to both academic support of equipment, as well as real world support scenarios (FLAM/R).
