June Sager Speakman has taught at Roger Williams University since 1995. She has a B.A. in Economics from UMass/Amherst, an M.A. in Economics from the New School for Social Research and a Ph.D. in Political Science from City University of New York. Speakman's research interests include congressional voting behavior, women and politics, state and local government and municipal management. Dr. Speakman currently serves as Chair of the Department of Politics and International Relations.

Among her publications are "In A Different Voice: Gender and Political Advertising" in We get What we Vote for, do We? (Sage, 1999); and "The Cop vs. Council Member" in Cases in Municipal Management (2006). Dr. Speakman currently serves as Chair of the Department.

Joseph W. Roberts is an Associate Professor of Politics and International Relations and a 2010 Presidential Fellow at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. Dr. Roberts was a member of the RWU Fulbright-Hayes Egypt Fellowship in July 2011. He has a B.A (1991) in Diplomatic History and International Relations: Southwest Asian and Islamic Civilizations from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tennessee. He also has a M.A. (1994) in Middle East Studies - Political Science and a Ph.D. (2006) in Political Science both from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah.
