Roger Williams University’s Almeida Apartment complex is located in a quiet neighborhood setting approximately two miles from the University campus and a short walk from one of the most charming New England towns you are likely to find anywhere. Bristol’s quiet atmosphere can be seen as you drive down Hope St, spend time in Colt State Park, or go for a jog on the East Bay Bike Path. Bristol is conveniently located 30 minutes from historical and picturesque Newport, RI where beaches, fine dining, shopping, and tourist attractions welcome you year round.
Almeida Graduate and Law Apartments are currently limited to first-year students only. The apartments are actually a series of shared two-bedroom Townhouses. Each Townhouse comes fully furnished with a common living room, kitchen, dining area, bathroom and two bedrooms. Each bedroom is furnished with a twin extra-long bed, a desk, a chair, a bureau, and plenty of closet space. The apartments are fully carpeted with the exception of the bedrooms which have hardwood floors.
The Townhouses are two-story apartments with individual entrances. The first floor has a 330-square-foot kitchen, dining area, living room and 1/2 bath with laundry services. On the second floor are both bedrooms (165 and 115 square feet, respectfully), full bathroom, and linen closet.
Almeida Apartments also offer convenient parking and access to the University shuttle system. Almeida residents enjoy air conditioned apartments, full utilities, wireless internet connection, and access to the RWU network and cable television.
The Graduate Assistant for the Department of Residence Life and Housing also lives in Almeida! Here is a little message from Kelley: "My name is Kelley Nobriga and I am the Graduate Assistant for the Department of Residence Life and Housing. While I assist the Department as a whole, I work closely with both the Baypoint and Almeida living areas. Before becoming the Graduate Assistant, I attended Roger Williams University and obtained a Bachelor's in Science in 2013. I am currently a second year law student at the Roger Williams University School of Law."
