Your four-year experience starts with a great first year, and we’ve got big plans for you!

We want RWU to feel like home – academically, socially and in your residence hall – as soon as you arrive on campus. With special events, customized housing options, a tailored curriculum and more, our entire community of faculty, staff and students is here to support you as you make the transition to college life.

How does RWU ensure that you have a great first year? We’re so glad you asked!

It’s all part of our First Year Experience (FYE).

Whether you’re meeting up with members of your Living Learning Community (LLC), immersing yourself in the University’s CORE curriculum or taking part in an RWU XP discussion, we set the stage for your success.

As a freshman you’ll also be paired with a Student Advocate, a peer mentor, who will help you navigate through your first year. Your Advocate can help explain the registration process, will help you get involved in different clubs and organizations, and can show you the ropes.

At RWU, we’re here for you, and we’d like to make sure that you meet your potential.
