Dr. Brunnhoeffer has earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (US Military Academy), Master of Science in Civil Engineering (University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana), a Masters in Business Administration (Long Island University), and a PhD in Theoretical & Applied Mechanics (University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana).

Dr. Brunnhoeffer has served in various engineering management capacities with the U S Army Corps of Engineers in the United States, Germany, Belgium and VietNam.  He has been employed as an engineering systems consultant and factory manager developing engineered materials for the aerospace industry, the automobile industry and the filtration industry.  He has conducted research in the repair of damaged reinforced concrete bridge columns and the stability of gravity dams subjected to seismic loading.

Dr. Brunnhoeffer is a licensed engineer in two states – Ohio and Pennsylvania, and has over 13 years’ experience teaching engineering and construction management at the undergraduate and graduate level.
