Carl Godfrin

Beginning Friday, May 1, 2015 at noon, the RWU Colleague system will be unavailable for a short time due to system upgrades. This will mean that you will not be able to register online, access your grades, request transcripts, etc. until the system is reactivated. We anticipate that the Colleague system will be available again by May 11, 2015. We will notify you when the system upgrade is complete and access is restored.

Please submit all requests to and they will be processed based upon the date of receipt.

To ensure that you are enrolled in the Summer and Fall course(s) of your choice, you are encouraged to register online for courses prior to May 1st. Students who cannot register by May 1st can take advantage of the following options:

  1. Contact your academic advisor who will complete the Summer and/or Fall registration form(s) on your behalf and document your request so SCS can manually enroll you in the course(s). Students who have questions regarding their assigned advisor can contact Mary Cooney at 401-254-4805 or
  2. Register online when the system upgrade is complete and access is restored.


Carl Godfrin

Carl Godfrin is a career Firefighter/EMT-C working for the City of East Providence.  A 14 year veteran of the department, Carl has worked on both the fire side and the EMS side of the service.  Additionally, Carl holds certifications as a Hazardous Materials Technician, Technical Rescue Technician (including Rope Rescue, Confined Space Rescue Vehicle Extrication, Machinery Extrication and Trench Rescue), as well as other fire service related certifications.  An experienced instructor, his credentials include NFPA certifications as a Live Fire Instructor, a Fire Service Instructor, Public Fire and Life Safety Educator, CPR/First Aid Instructor and most recently becoming an Instructor Coordinator for the State of Rhode Island Division of Emergency Medical Services.  Carl is also a member of the FEMA endorsed Massachusetts Urban Search & Rescue Team assigned to Rescue Squad A.

Carl is a certified instructor for American Safety Programs and Training Inc. He teaches both the EMT- years.
