The School of Architecture, Art and Historic Preservation’s Centers and Initiatives link students and faculty with local and global communities through collaborative projects and initiatives. Projects operate at the University, across New England and worldwide through:
The Arts on Campus Initiative--- enlivening the campus through installations of faculty and student artwork in interior and exterior spaces
The Community Partnerships Center—engaging community organizations, students and faculty in community development projects of local interest
The Macro Center—convening interdisciplinary endeavors for the formulation, demonstration and debate of large scale project proposals that can contribute to human progress through the improvement of human habitat.
In addition to these scales of activity, ongoing initiatives involve developing student capacities and disseminating our work through:
Research and Publications—individual students and faculty members, as well as faculty/student collaborations, resulting in the creation of documents available to the general public
