The Academic Showcase is an annual event that celebrates the creative achievements and interests of University full-time undergraduate and graduate students. Held every spring, the Academic Showcase is a week-long exhibition of student academic and co-curricular talent. The showcase includes submissions from freshmen through seniors in many categories.
The Academic Showcase is co-sponsored by the University Honors Program and Alpha Chi. Other academic and professional honor societies also support the Showcase through the submissions of their student members.
Any currently-enrolled full-time undergraduate or graduate student of Roger Williams University is eligible to submit one showcase entry (on the electronic entry form accessible from this website below). Display space is limited, and early entries are encouraged; the showcase committee reserves the right to decline a submission.
Showcase entries are enjoyed by current students and faculty, and many prospective students and their parents during the Accepted Student's Day weekend programs. Students exhibiting in the Academic Showcase receive official certificates of participation from the sponsoring organizations. All entrants are also eligible for special awards and prizes provided by University administrators and the sponsoring agencies, determined by the official showcase judges.
