The decision to come to RWU has taken Nifty on quite a journey. Once a shy international student nervous about fitting in, Nifty’s presence is now felt across campus. She is the Advertising Chair for the Multicultural Student Union, pairing her marketing knowledge with her talent for art and design. As an Orientation Advisor, Nifty assists other international students as they acclimate to campus life, and is also a tutor in the Writing Center and her home country’s representative at RWU’s annual GlobalFest. When she’s not hanging out in the Intercultural Center or art studio, you can find Nifty relaxing with friends or a book near the water. Her newest challenge? An internship with the Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless. Nifty is using her talents and abilities to find new ways to help others. What will you do?
