Training Options

The EHS Department provides a number of live and online safety trainings to the Roger Williams University community. Please contact Kathy Souza ( or Cat Conley ( should your department need to schedule a live safety training session.

Motor Vehicle and Golf Cart Safety Trainings

Please visit EHS's Vehicle Safety page and access either the motor vehicle or golf cart policy pages.

Trainings Available on Traincaster

The EHS Department uses Traincaster to host and track online safety training. The following departments and groups currently have safety trainings hosted on Traincaster:

  • Dining
  • Engineering
  • Facilities
  • Fine Arts
  • Performing Arts
  • Public Safety
  • Stage Crew

To access online training through Traincaster, visit: and use the login information provided to you by your supervisor or EHS. Note: the Traincaster login is not the same as your Bridges or e-mail login!

After completing a training, print out the training completion certificate, sign the certificate (students - have your supervisor sign the certificate as well), and fax, e-mail, or interoffice the certificate to EHS at 254-3790,, or EHS Department / North Office 136.

Trainings Available on Bridges

MNS Laboratory Safety Training is available on Bridges. To access the trainings:

  • Login to your Bridges account on
  • Click on the "My Workspace" tab in the top righthand corner of the page
  • Click on the "Membership" link under the "My Settings" tab
  • Click on the "Joinable Sites" link at the top of the "Membership" page

Bridges Training

  • Scroll through the Joinable Sites (alphabetically) and look for "EHS Laboratory and Shop Safety Training"
  • Click on the "Join" button directly below the site title to join the site
  • Your supervisor will let you know which trainings to take
  • Send an e-mail to your supervisor and when you have completed the required trainings - include your name, the date and time you took the trainings, and the titles of each training taken
