Ginna Johnson, Principal at Esker Company Landscape Architecture, Lexington MA which she founded in 2005, is teaching Arch 413 Advanced Architectural Design Studio in Fall 2013. Johnson founded Esker Company following practice at nationally recognized landscape firms Hargreaves Associates, Boston, CRJA and the Olin Partnership, Philadelphia. Johnson has planned, designed and managed projects ranging in scale from private residences to city districts. Consensus-building is an integral part of Ginna’s work with communities. Current Esker Company projects include the Fessenden School Waltham Street Campus Gateway and Signage and Brooke Charter School Renovations. Ginna Johnson has served as a lecturer and Visiting Critic at the Department of Landscape Architecture at Harvard, and has been a frequent contributor at Roger Williams University in the Master of Architecture program Graduate Thesis Research Seminar and Design Studio sequence. Ginna Johnson received her Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a recipient of the Philip Nichols Winslow Fellowship, and a BA from Smith College.
