So we've finally done it! We sailed all the way across the Atlantic Ocean!

The past 4 weeks have been the craziest, most stressful, most exciting, and most enthralling experience. Each and every one of my ship mates is amazing in their own way, and I have been so lucky to meet all of them. I've been dreading leaving them since it hit me that I would have to. Out here, we're family. We eat together, sleep in the same room, work together, laugh together, pursue our goals together. We help each other, lift each other up, and support each other. Never have a met a group that knows more and can have a better time than the 30 people aboard the ship over the past month. I have learned the names and stories behind lesser known constellations, how to play the ukelele, what it's really like to see the world from 90 feet up on top of the foremast, and how to be a shipmate and friend.

Dominica is pleasant. The people are friendly when you pass them on the street or meet them in the bar, and the scenery is beautiful. We hiked up to the second largest boiling lake in the world, and snorkeled over coral off an unpopulated beach. I don't want to leave this beautiful island, but I'm excited to get back out to sea.
