McGill University’s Vikram Bhatt joins SAAHP for Spring 2015

Vikram Bhatt, Professor of Architecture and Director of the Minimum Cost Housing Group at McGill University, Montreal joins the school as a Visiting Professor for Spring 2015, where he will be teaching Arch 530 Special Topics: Design for Development for graduate Architecture and Historic Preservation students.  Bhatt is currently working on the question of food security and urban sustainability in North America and abroad, particularly in informal housing in developing countries, and more recently in Canada and the US.

Vikram Bhatt wins $50,000 Margolese National Design for Living Prize

Vikram Bhatt, Spring 2015 Visiting Professor at Roger Williams University School of Architecture, Art and Historic Preservation, has won the Margolese National Design for Living Prize, a $50,000 award given annually to a Canadian who has made and continues to make outstanding contributions to the development or improvement of living environments for Canadians of all economic classes. Bhatt was subsequently featured in the Vancouver Sun.
