RWU’s Summer Academy in Architecture is being offered this July for the 20th consecutive year. 21 students from 8 states enrolled, including several receiving scholarship support for their perspectives on diversity. The program was established in 1997 initially as a non-credit program, and led by Greg Laramie, who is now Associate Dean. Since 2013 the Summer Academy has offered 3 college credits, and is led by Adjunct Faculty member Julia Bernert. Students are involved in design studio, drawing, computing, lectures and field trips to significant architecture sites in the Northeast over a four-week period.
