The Honors Community

The University Honors Program, was established in 1993, and accepts between four and five percent of each entering class. We have enjoyed a consistently high retention rate among our active members, graduating over 80 percent of our members in honors.

Dr. Peter Deekle (University Library Services) has served as the director since 2000, and Dr. Becky Spritz (Psychology) began her service as assistant director in 2010.

The University Honors Program maintains an institutional membership in the National Collegiate Honors Council, and offers regional conference opportunities for interested students and faculty.
